Frequently asked Questions

How long does delivery take?

Once we receive payment notification or proof of payment, we start making your order which takes about two days. We then hand over your parcel to the couriers and depending on your location, delivery can be the same day, or the day after (if you're in an outbound area, delivery can take a few days longer).

Why haven't I received my slime yet?

There can be multiple reasons for this.
1) We have not picked up your payment yet. We only make orders once we receive payment, and therefore sending proof of payment is crucial in order to speed up the process of receiving your slime.
2) We might have received your payment, but the incorrect reference was used and therefore we cannot tie your payment to your order. Please email us. Always ensure that the correct reference is used when making payment (your order number).
3) We might have received your payment but we do not have an order for your. This could happen when no order is submitted on our website. You will always receive an automatic confirmation email from us when you have submitted your order.
4) We do not have online payment facilities on our website, and therefore an offline EFT payment needs to be made before we can make your order.
5) With big orders, sometimes additional courier bags need to be purchased before your order can be sent.
6) Incorrect address details can often delay orders, and therefore always make sure that the correct address is entered (including suburb).
7) Always make sure a reliable contact number is given when placing your order. Often we need to get hold of you, or the couriers need to get hold of you..

How do I order?

All you have to do is select the items you would like and proceed to checkout where you have to fill in details like your address etc 🙂 Then banking details will pop up and we will start making your order once we receive your EFT payment.

Can I buy slime at your store?

We are an online store only and all slimes are made to order. We do not sell from our physical store address and also don't have ready-made slimes available for purchase.

Can I pay cash upon delivery?

Unfortunately not. Our courier services do not handle cash.

How much is delivery?

Delivery depends on where you are located. Costs will be calculated at checkout! Costs range from £2 to £10 and also depend on how many items are purchased.

It is my first time buying slime, which ones do you recommend?

Cloud slime is always a good option because it is perfect for inexperienced, warm or small hands! Clay slime is also a good option.

How do you make slime?

We have loads of tutorials on YouTube! Just search 'Julia's Awesome World' 🙂

Are your slimes made with borax?

Yes. We use low concentrated borax solution.

Do you do slime parties?
We don't unfortunately. But we do host workshops on set dates but these are not considered 'birthday parties.
Our DIY kits could be a great option for your party. We sell a 'Party Box' which can be found under "kits" on our website.
What is a slime workshop?

A slime workshop is where participants can join us for one hour and make slime with us. We guide them through the process of designing and making their masterpieces. Everyone leaves with two slimes and a slime goodie bag filled with slime supplies like beads or glitters etc. Even grandparents have joined us in the past and it was a massive success!

What is 'activator'?

Activator is a solution of borax and water which remedies sticky slime. Adding activator to sticky slime will make it less sticky and more holdable. However, adding too much activator can ruin your slime and make it hard.

Where can I buy borax powder?

We recommend using contact lens solution instead.  Just make sure it contain borid acid.

My slime isn't stretcy anymore! What can I do?
This can happen when too much activator is added to slime. To any type of slime (not clear slime), you can add a bit of body lotion and put it in the microwave. Repeat this process until the slime is stretchy again. To clear slime, add a bit of baby oil and microwave for a few seconds. Repeat until the slime is stretchy again.
We have lots of self help videos on YouTube under 'Julia Awesome World' that might help you!
My slime started to smell bad. What can I do?
Slime unfortunately doesn't last forever and a lot of different things can happen to it depending on where you store it, what you add to it, how often you play with it, how clean your hands were when you played with it and how clean the surfaces were when you played on them. I don't think anything will remedy a bad smell, and it would probably be best to throw it away.
Therefore always make sure to play with slime with super SUPER clean hands to ensure it lasts long. Also read our online care sheet on how to take care of your slime.
Why did my slime shrink?
This can happen to slime when you play with it a lot because some of the moisture can rub off on your hands over time. It can also happen when you play with slime when it is still too sticky to handle and little blobs get stuck on your hands and thrown away.
You can always add some foam beads to to 'puff' up the slime to it's original size.
Where do you get all your supplies from?

Unfortunately we do not share supplier information. It takes us a long time and a lot of research to find unique items for our products, and therefore it would not be right to give out this information.

What brand of glue do you use?

We do not share branding information.
